Hey, I'm so glad you're here! Welcome to Atelier on 8th — a little corner of the world where European vibes meet American flair. I was born and raised in Slovakia, bounced around a few continents (Europe, Australia, you name it), and somehow ended up calling Raleigh, North Carolina home. Funny how life works, right?

Honestly? I never thought fashion would be my "thing" career-wise. I've always loved it, but my personal style didn't really click until the last few years — once I could finally afford pieces that felt like me. And even then, leaving my corporate job felt way too scary. Fashion was the dream… but corporate paid the bills.

Then earlier this year, life made the decision for me. The post-COVID shake-up hit corporate America hard, and my role got cut along with a lot of others. Honestly, it was the kick I needed. Suddenly I had to get real with myself about what I actually wanted — and how I was going to make it happen.

Six months later, here we are. I built this boutique from scratch with zero experience running a shop or building a website. My business partners? YouTube, Google, and ChatGPT. It's been a whole lot of trial and error, but every little win keeps me going.

Bit by bit, Atelier on 8th is coming to life — learning, growing, and figuring it out one day at a time.
